Outside Sales Representative – Residential Trade (Kansas City Area)

Ferguson is seeking a proven outside sales representative to support customers in the Kansas City area. The role requires field work, building relationships with vendors and customers, and driving new business growth.

• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and an assigned customer base.
• Collaborate with branch associates to ensure customer satisfaction from order to delivery.
• Identify and actively pursue new business opportunities through sales strategies and new account targeting.
• Perform product quotations, problem resolution, and competitive analysis.
• Devise sales strategies and communicate them to management.
• Continuously improve sales skills and product knowledge to promote a professional image in the field.
• Document all sales activity in Salesforce to evaluate pipeline and measure sales results.

• Minimum of 3 years of industry-related sales experience preferred.
• Results‑oriented, self‑motivated, and able to complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Strong communication, time‑management, and organizational skills.
• Problem‑solving, leadership, and listening skills.
• General digital literacy.
• Ability to multi‑task, learn quickly, and be a self‑motivation.

Base salary plus commission with no cap. Estimated total compensation range: $75,000 – $150,000+.
