The Territory Sales Representative – Greater Kansas City Area is responsible for driving growth across the region, supporting customers in power, renewables, and critical infrastructure markets.

This role is ideal for individuals with a background in value‑added, technical sales within industrial sectors such as oil & gas, power generation, renewable energy, chemical processing, manufacturing, or other engineering‑driven environments.

Job Summary

The Territory Sales Representative is crucial for driving the company's growth by managing and expanding strategic accounts within an assigned territory. The role focuses on a specific business segment, ensuring sales targets and revenue generation are met and exceeded while establishing the brand as a leader in the cable and pipe transit seals industry.

Essential Job Functions
  • Strategic Account Management: Own and manage multiple strategic accounts within a specific business segment and territory, develop and implement customized strategies, and execute a comprehensive strategic plan to capture market share.
  • Sales and Revenue Accountability: Directly accountable for sales revenue, define sales potential, prepare budgets, maintain sales tracking, develop and maintain a sales opportunity pipeline, monitor and report on sales performance, utilize CRM software, and drive sustainable sales growth.
  • Market Insight and Trends: Cultivate an in‑depth understanding of the business segment, stay abreast of market trends, create detailed action plans at the account level, maintain market awareness, and identify opportunities for expansion and growth.
  • Customer Engagement and Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision‑makers, provide technical presentations and product installation training, and maintain awareness of company policies and core values.
Requirements
  • Must be willing to travel domestically and internationally up to 60%
  • Knowledgeable and proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Adhere to the principles of Value Added Selling and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) strategies
  • Proficient in time and travel management
  • Possess strong negotiation and presentation skills
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or comparable work experience
  • 3 years of experience in B2B technical and/or project sales
Physical Requirements
  • Required to wear PPE as needed; safety‑sensitive position
