Business Development Manager (BDM) FMS
Responsible for developing new customer business within the assigned sales territory, educating prospects on Ryder’s services, and creating and executing sales plans.

Base Salary and CommissionBase salary: $68,000 per year. Unlimited commission structure.
- Average commission year one: $40,000 - $50,000
- Average commission year two: $50,000 - $60,000+
- Develop pre-sales strategy for target accounts and build a sales activity pipeline to meet and exceed quota revenues.
- Respond proactively to leads furnished and represent full spectrum of Ryder services.
- Work with account representatives to transition accounts and increase sales opportunities.
- Ensure new customer orientation is completed and collaborate with DSDs to develop DCC opportunities.
- Identify prospect needs and prepare value-based proposals.
- Develop account selling strategies continuously to improve effectiveness.
- Contribute to effective transition of sold accounts.
- Perform administrative functions to support accounts.
- Report sales activity to management and ensure compliance with sales protocols.
- Create working relationships with internal partners and leverage resources to expand new opportunities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to create and maintain professional relationships with all levels of the organization.
- High degree of initiative and self-motivation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
- Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills.
- Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent field.
- Five or more years of demonstrated sales excellence and quota achievement.
- Good understanding of Ryder’s product offerings and ability to represent the full spectrum of services.
- Ability to interpret financial data.
