Regional Sales Manager, Distribution- Northeast Region

Job Overview

Under the direction of the Distribution Sales Manager, North America, the Regional Sales Manager is responsible for managing sales activities within a specified geographic region. The role includes developing and implementing sales strategies, managing distributor relationships, driving revenue growth, and overseeing a team of sales representatives.

• Execute regional sales plans and meet or exceed quotas.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities within the region.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors and key customers.
• Provide training, support, and performance management for distributors.
• Conduct regular customer visits to strengthen relationships and identify growth opportunities.
• Monitor sales performance metrics, prepare forecasts, and submit reports to management.
• Develop and manage regional sales budgets.
• Gather and analyze market data, competitor activities, and industry trends to adjust sales strategies.
• Collaborate with product strategy teams to align offerings with customer needs.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Resolve customer issues promptly to ensure satisfaction and retention.

• Education in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
• Previous experience in a regional sales manager or similar role preferred.
• Familiarity with CRM and sales software and tools preferred.
• Analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills required.
• Negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills required.
• Familiarity with the HVAC industry is an asset.
• Organizational and time‑management skills required.
• Previous experience with quality control and process improvement preferred.
• Technical skills required for computers and tablets.
• Ability to work proficiently in a team‑oriented setting, as well as independently.
• Familiarity with Health and Safety guidelines.

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer.
• Light physical effort – able to lift up to 20 lbs at times.
• Must be able to travel a minimum 50% of the time.
• Work in office, field, factory, warehouse, and distribution centers as required.
