The Regional Director (RD), Rare Neurology reports to the Executive Director, Strategic Customer Engagement, Rare Neurology and is responsible for recruiting, leading, developing and retaining the Rare Neurology Medical Specialist team in the assigned region. The RD ensures strong and consistent sales performance that exceeds forecast and product goals, driving accountability for all results throughout the region to establish Regeneron’s major presence in the Rare Neurology market.

- Build and develop a high‑performing, high‑integrity, high‑quality sales team and provide overall leadership.
- Meet and/or exceed assigned sales objectives and align action plans to strategic brand initiatives.
- Lead regional sales force activities including hiring, training, performance evaluation and development while complying with corporate policies.
- Ensure each employee is trained and effectively implementing customer education.
- Communicate up‑to‑date industry knowledge and competitor products to regional teams.
- Represent the company at industry trade shows, meetings, and conferences.
- Analyze sales and customer data to deploy resources appropriately.
- Allocate and manage the region’s budget and promotional resources.
- Accountably meet or exceed brand objectives and product sales goals.
- Build the company’s credibility and relationships with key customers, regional and local clinical experts, advocacy groups, and their staff.
- Position Rare Neurology Medical Specialists as clinical experts within the field.
- Develop and execute an incentive compensation plan for the field team, compliant with corporate objectives.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to analyze and address market dynamics and trends supporting brand and collaboration objectives.
- Demonstrate strong understanding of payer environment, reimbursement, and challenges within payer markets.
- Bachelor’s degree mandatory;
Master’s degree or other advanced education/certification is a plus, especially with a focus in science or clinical experience. - Minimum 10 years of pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical experience with 5 years of sales leadership/management, including at least 3 years as a Regional Director/District Manager in Rare Neurology.
- Experience in complex therapies (REMS, biologics, specialty pharmacy) in Rare Disease or Neurology fields (e.g., Myasthenia Gravis, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s, Epilepsy) highly preferred.
- Proven success and integrity as a Regional Director/District Manager in complex markets and systems.
- Track record of hiring, coaching, developing, promoting, and retaining top talent.
- Proven ability to develop physician/customer clinical experts in a regional scope.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills; effective team player capable of engendering credibility and confidence.
- Strong partnership and collaboration skills with internal field teams and alliance partners.
- Ability to travel extensively and influence local and regional markets.
- Demonstrated history of leading high‑performance sales teams.
- Ability to manage and drive regional objectives and goals.
- Product launch experience is a plus.
- Experience selling to diverse customer segments.
- Understanding of reimbursement challenges and opportunities for buy‑and‑bill products or similar Rare Neurology products.
- Ability to analyze sales and market data and make data‑driven decisions.
- Strategic thinker who challenges the status quo to improve performance.
- Leadership skills that include motivating, mentoring, and providing professional development to team members.
- Candidates must reside within the assigned territory.
Ability to travel extensively within and beyond the assigned region.
