About The Role

McKesson Medical-Surgical is seeking a Regional Director, Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) Sales to drive strategic growth across large, complex ASC customers in the South Central region. This highly visible role is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies that expand market share, strengthen customer partnerships, and deliver long-term value for both customers and McKesson.

The ideal candidate brings extensive experience selling into the ambulatory surgery center market, a proven ability to grow strategic healthcare accounts, and expertise influencing executive-level decision makers.

Preferred location: Texas. Candidates must reside within the territory, including Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, or Nebraska.

What You’ll Do

Lead Strategic ASC Accounts

  • Develop and execute growth strategies for large ambulatory surgery center customers and strategic accounts.
  • Build comprehensive account plans that identify growth opportunities, stakeholder relationships, competitive positioning, and resource requirements.
  • Lead contract discussions and negotiations to support customer retention and revenue growth.

Drive Customer Growth and Retention

  • Establish trusted relationships with senior healthcare executives, clinical leaders, and purchasing stakeholders.
  • Improve customer satisfaction, retention, and account performance through proactive engagement and solution-based selling.
  • Align customer objectives with McKesson's products, services, and technology capabilities.

Expand Revenue Opportunities

  • Identify opportunities to increase sales penetration across existing ASC customers.
  • Partner with internal teams to develop integrated solutions that address customer needs and business goals.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive activity, and industry developments to inform account strategies.

Collaborate Across McKesson and Vendor Partners

  • Work closely with manufacturers and vendor partners to improve product utilization, compliance, and profitability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise-wide solutions and exceptional customer experiences.
  • Share market intelligence and best practices to support organizational growth initiatives.

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Typically requires 7+ years of healthcare sales experience, including direct experience selling to Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASC), surgery centers, or strategic healthcare accounts.
  • Demonstrated experience managing and growing large healthcare accounts or national accounts.
  • Experience negotiating contracts and developing account growth strategies.
  • Proven success selling solutions and building relationships with executive-level decision makers.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Experience with in healthcare distribution, medical supplies, medical devices, healthcare services, or healthcare supply chain environments.
  • Knowledge of Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs) and their impact on healthcare purchasing decisions.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-level customers with complex, multi-site operations.
