About This Position
We are seeking a reliable and professional security officer to support onsite operations by maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and property. This is an hourly position paying $15.00 per hour.
The security officer serves as a visible presence, greeting individuals courteously, monitoring activity, and responding appropriately to potential security concerns.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to follow established security procedures while providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Greet visitors and employees in a professional and courteous manner
- Monitor employee and visitor traffic to identify suspicious individuals or situations
- Verify employee and visitor identification badges where required
- Receive complaints or information from staff and visitors and respond appropriately
- Observe and report potential security issues to the supervisor
- Document daily activities and incidents accurately in the shift logbook
- Complete detailed incident reports in a timely manner for Security Director review
- Staff assigned security posts as designated by the Security Director

- Minimum 1 year of experience as a security officer; military or law enforcement background preferred
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Valid driver’s license required
- Proficient in Microsoft Word
- Strong judgment and decision‑making skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with employees and the public on a daily basis
- Current CPR/AED and Basic First Aid certification required
- Ability to follow directions, cooperate with team members, and accept supervision
- Basic supervisory and administrative skills
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
