AboutThe Role
As a Carpenter Apprentice, you'll work alongside experienced carpenters and project leaders to support the execution of high-quality residential remodeling projects. You'll learn jobsite fundamentals, proper tool use, construction techniques, and best practices for safety, quality, and professionalism.
This is not a "labor-only" role – it's an investment role designed to develop future craftsmen who take pride in their work and want to grow in the trades.
What You'll Be Doing Field & Carpentry Support- Assist Lead Carpenters with framing, demolition, trim, cabinetry, and finish work
- Learn proper techniques for measuring, cutting, fastening, and assembling materials
- Support jobsite setup, cleanup, and material handling
- Learn residential construction methods, tools, and terminology
- Observe and practice craftsmanship standards appropriate for historic and custom homes
- Follow instructions carefully and apply feedback consistently
- Maintain clean, organized, and professional jobsites
- Handle tools, materials, and finished surfaces with care
- Uphold company standards for craftsmanship and attention to detail
- Follow all jobsite safety procedures and PPE requirements
- Use tools and equipment safely and responsibly
- Represent Architectural Craftsmen professionally with clients, coworkers, and trade partners
- Prior construction, trade school, or hands‑on building experience preferred but not required
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Strong interest in carpentry and residential construction
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable
- Willing to learn and take direction
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Comfortable working on active jobsites
- Pride in doing things the right way, not the fast way
- Ability to lift materials, stand for extended periods, and work in varying weather conditions
- Comfortable using hand and power tools with training
- Active residential jobsites across the Kansas City area
- Hands‑on, team‑based learning environment
- Regular mentorship from experienced carpenters
- Emphasis on safety, organization, and craftsmanship
- Starting Pay:
Competitive, based on experience and skill level - 90‑Day Review:
