What you will do

The Technician II is a vital member of the Easy Ice service team, responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of ice machines through installation, cleaning, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

  • Provide outstanding service and support during on‑site visits, forging positive relationships with customers
  • Manage installation, repair, and maintenance tasks, accurately diagnosing and resolving technical issues
  • Train and support less experienced technicians
  • Complete detailed service reports to improve future service quality
  • Maintain proper truck stock and supplies during field operations
  • Maintain company vehicle in accordance with established policies
  • Uphold Easy Ice brand image with professionalism and positive engagement
  • Demonstrate flexibility in work schedules and adapt to changing operational demands while seeking opportunities for personal and professional growth

  • Deliver exceptional service that fosters positive relationships with customers, ensuring consistent satisfaction with service quality and machine performance
  • Perform thorough installation, repair, maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting of ice machines to improve performance and longevity, reducing the frequency of service calls and emergency ice purchases
  • Lead installation processes when required, exceeding customer expectations with accurate, timely, and efficient installation of equipment
  • Accurately diagnose and resolve technical issues on the first visit, minimizing downtime for customers
  • Achieve or exceed performance metrics related to service response times, resolution rates, and customer feedback, demonstrating accountability and commitment to excellence
How you will do it
  • Perform installation, cleaning, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of ice machine equipment as required
  • Provide customer support during field visits, focusing on building positive relationships
  • Train and mentor less senior technicians as required
  • Manage on‑site installation, repair, maintenance, and test tasks
  • Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers and customers to ensure all work orders and assignments are completed on time per standard operating procedures
  • Accurately document all actions during service visits, taking required photos, completing forms, reports, logs, and maintaining clear records of maintenance activities
  • Ensure proper truck stock at all times, avoiding unnecessary return trips and delays in customer service
  • Manage pickup and delivery of ice as needed for service calls, ensuring timely and efficient service for customers
  • Assist in processing accurate payments from customers and assist in equipment shutdown or removal when necessary
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the shop, adhering to all safety protocols and cleanliness standards
  • Ensure vehicle cleanliness and organization, removing all ice and trash at the end of each shift to improve safety and uphold a professional appearance
Education

High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Vocational/Technical Training preferred.

Experience
  • 1+ year experience in the diagnosis and repair of commercial equipment (prior experience with refrigeration, electrical, HVAC, ice machines, or related equipment)
  • EPA 2 Certification
  • Working knowledge of mobile tools and applications
  • Experience in and the ability to demonstrate volt meter operations
  • Ability to work a full‑time schedule which includes a rotating on‑call schedule
