• Under direct supervision, completes assigned programming, commissioning, basic troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of fire/security systems per contract obligations.
• Assist experienced personnel with solutions to systems problems, either troubleshooting the system or advising others on how to resolve problems.
• Require understanding of core and third‑party fire/security products, software, and systems/electrical technology.
• Assist in performing required commissioning documentation.
• Provide accurate information for as‑built documentation.
• Adhere to safety standards and local and national codes, with a high degree of regard for employee and subcontractor safety.
• Maintain appropriate local and National Fire/Security Industry Certifications.
• Communicate with customer upon arrival and before leaving the work site.
• Continuously proactive customer interactions, including an in‑depth understanding of customer(s) needs, wants, and systems currently in place.
• Assist in monitoring project execution per plan.
• Report problems or changes to supervisor or management.
• Complete paperwork and on‑site documentation as required.
• Perform self‑study (reading, research, and practice) to obtain technical proficiency on required products and application.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Required:
  • High school diploma plus 2+ years of experience installing fire or security systems.
  • Electronics certification from accredited technical school or military electronics training.
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills to represent the company to customers and other outside contacts.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to explain technical information to non‑technical people.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Preferred:
  • NICET Level
    
    I Certification.
  • Prior experience withing the Fire/Security industry with basic knowledge of database structure, network configuration, and analysis.

$24 – $32 per hour (hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data).
