We are seeking an experienced Electro-Mechanical Technician to join our growing maintenance team,
currently hiring for the 2nd shift (Monday - Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM). This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and optimizing manufacturing equipment to maximize safety, reliability, and production uptime.

Pay: $27.00–$34.00 per hour, based on experience.

This is a permanent, full-time, non-exempt position. Kocher + Beck USA operates three shifts, Monday through Friday:

  • 1st shift: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
  • 2nd shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM (this opening — includes $1.50/hour shift differential)
  • 3rd shift: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM, Sunday through Thursday (includes $2.80/hour shift differential)

All shifts are 40 hours per week. Saturday work may be required based on equipment and business needs.

Requirements

Essential Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automation equipment failures.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, calibrations, and equipment testing to maximize reliability.
  • Troubleshoot PLC-controlled machinery, AC/DC circuits, motor controls, sensors, drives, and automation systems.
  • Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Install, commission, and optimize new production equipment and manufacturing systems.
  • Use precision diagnostic equipment including multimeters, oscilloscopes, micrometers, and related tools.
  • Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Partner with Production and Engineering to identify root causes and implement long-term corrective actions.
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA requirements, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), arc flash, and company safety policies.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that improve equipment performance and reduce downtime.

Qualifications

Required

  • Associate degree, technical certificate, or equivalent industrial maintenance experience.
  • 2–5 years of industrial maintenance or electro-mechanical troubleshooting experience.
  • Working knowledge of PLCs, AC/DC circuits, motor controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, and automated equipment.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work standing, kneeling, climbing, or at heights when required.

Preferred

  • Experience with 480V three-phase electrical systems.
  • Experience using a CMMS.
  • Experience with automated manufacturing equipment, robotics, or servo systems.
  • Industrial maintenance certification, journeyman electrician license, or mechatronics training.
