Court Appointed Guardian for Adults
The Kansas Guardianship Program is recruiting and training interested persons to provide individualized, legal advocacy. Advocating and protecting the rights of vulnerable adults while encouraging respect, dignity, and the interdependence of all Kansans is the primary goal of the KGP.
ResponsibilitiesAs a court appointed guardian or conservator, KGP volunteers advocate, monitor, and protect the individual rights of the person. They seek to develop a relationship with the individual, visit on a regular basis, participate in the planning and delivery of supports and services, and make legal decisions with the goal of a higher quality of life for the individual.
