Victim Advocate

C.A.R.E. of Atchison County, Inc. is accepting applications for a full-time victim advocate to provide CONFIDENTIAL support services to individuals impacted by domestic violence and sexual assault.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in social work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years working in crisis intervention, advocacy, or human services.
• Knowledge: Deep understanding of trauma-informed care, the dynamics of domestic violence, and local community resources.
• Skills: Strong active listening, conflict resolution, and written communication skills. Bilingual capabilities are a major plus.
• Requirements: Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and complete state-mandated advocate training.
