Job Description:

Senior Software Engineer (Node.js , Python, Cloud Native, Generative AI) - 8+ Years Experience from a Product Based IT Company.

Overview:

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Conversational AI team at Live Person, you’ll play a critical role in shaping the future of our AI‑driven customer experiences. You will join the group responsible for our LLM Platform, Copilot products, and Knowledge AI services, bridging the gap between traditional automation and next‑generation Generative AI.

You will serve as a technical leader and mentor for a small team of engineers, driving best practices in distributed systems and software architecture. Responsibilities:
  • Technical Leadership & System Design: Own the design and implementation of critical backend components. You will build high‑volume, low‑latency applications for mission‑critical systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Distributed Systems Engineering: Create reliable, scalable, and high‑performance services. Your work will require a deep understanding of Computer Science fundamentals and practical experience building large‑scale distributed systems.
  • Complex Problem Solving: Expertly navigate complex systems and domains to identify key challenges and create plans to address them.
  • Lead by Example: Lead by example through the quality of your code and your approach to your work.
  • Operational Excellence: Debug production issues, maintain existing codebases, and ensure the stability of the platform. You will participate in on‑call rotations to support mission‑critical services.
  • Team Growth: Level up the team through code review feedback and knowledge sharing sessions, and assist in the onboarding of new engineering hires.
Qualification:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Solid understanding of Data Structures and Algorithm Design.
  • Deep proficiency in Node.js (for high‑concurrency orchestration and backend services) AND Python (for AI/ML logic and data processing).
  • Practical experience building applications utilizing LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.), RAG (Retrieval‑Augmented Generation), and Vector Databases.
  • Expert‑level knowledge of Databases (SQL, No

    SQL) like Cassandra, MySQL.
  • Experience with Data Processing frameworks like Kafka, Airflow, Apache Spark, Hadoop.
  • Experience building REST APIs and debugging distributed microservice‑based applications.
  • Experience with Git, Jenkins, and other Development tools.
  • Cloud expertise in either Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Amazon Web Services (AWS).
