Full Stack Software Engineer (Mid-Level)
We're looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer who enjoys solving problems, learning new technologies, and building practical solutions that deliver business value. This role will support a portfolio of 20-30 internal applications ranging from small utility tools to business-critical systems. Many upcoming projects are still being defined, so success in this role requires someone who can navigate ambiguity, take initiative, and help shape solutions.

What You'll DoDesign, build, and enhance internal web applications and business tools
Develop modern user interfaces and backend services that support business operations
Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and determine next steps for evolving projects
Create intuitive, user-friendly experiences, often taking ownership of UI and design decisions
Integrate applications with APIs, databases, and cloud services
Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and ongoing support
Contribute to the modernization of development practices, including containerization and cloud-based solutions
React and Type Script
Python
PostgreSQL
REST APIs and web service integration
Cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS experience also highly valued)
Docker and containerized applications
Data warehousing concepts and tools
Workflow orchestration platforms such as Dagster or Apache Airflow
CI/CD pipelines and modern development workflows
Experience with some combination of the following:
React, Type Script, Vue, Angular, or Svelte
Next.js, Remix, Gatsby, Nuxt, Svelte Kit, or Astro
Tailwind CSS, Bootstrap, or similar UI frameworks
Component libraries such as shadcn/ui, Radix UI, Chakra UI, Material UI, or Mantine
Data grids, table libraries, and charting tools
Experience with one or more of:
FastAPI
Django / Django REST Framework
Flask
Express.js
NestJS
Strong SQL skills and understanding of data modeling
Experience with PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Azure SQL, Snowflake, or similar platforms
Ability to optimize queries and understand indexes, migrations, and data integrity principles
Experience with modern data platforms such as Big Query, Redshift, Databricks, or equivalent is a plus
Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform
Azure Dev Ops, Git Hub Actions, Git Lab CI/CD, Jenkins, or similar tools
Docker, Podman, containerd, or related container technologies
Experience with tools such as:
Application Insights
Open Telemetry
Datadog
New Relic
While technical experience is important, we're primarily looking for someone with:
A strong product mindset
Learning agility and curiosity
Good design instincts and attention to user experience
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
The ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to changing priorities
A desire to create value rather than simply complete assigned tasks
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lenexa, KS.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $10.00 - $12.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
