Overview

The Delivery Driver/Warehouse Worker is primarily responsible for delivering merchandise to customer locations and job sites, as well as picking up returned goods. The role also includes warehouse functions such as receiving, storing, handling, shipping, and preparing products for customer delivery, while maintaining a safe and orderly warehouse.

Compensation & Schedule

$20.00‑27.00 per hour;
Monday‑Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Plan delivery routes to ensure the most economical use of time and equipment.
  • Perform delivery duties to customer locations and job sites.
  • Secure and deliver 10,000‑lb coils on a stake bed or semi‑trailer.
  • Obtain or pull material to fill pick tickets from storage yard and warehouse, verify quantities and items against the invoice, and load merchandise into the company vehicle.
  • Deliver merchandise to customers, ensuring delivery receipt is signed.
  • Picks up merchandise returns, inspecting condition and verifying quantities and catalog numbers.
  • Maintain assigned equipment in clean condition, perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and report defects or needed repairs.
  • Verify the quantity and description of received material against packing lists and purchase orders.
  • Driver responsible for delivery and pickup of merchandise.
  • Excellent attendance record required.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Transport, gather, distribute, and stock material in a safe, efficient manner.
  • Other duties may be assigned, including additional warehouse responsibilities.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • General knowledge of warehouse procedures and ability to operate material handling equipment safely.
  • Clean driving record; ability to pass Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
  • Prior HVAC experience a plus but not required.
  • Effective communication with co‑workers to meet customer requirements.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize job tasks.
  • Prior experience safely driving stake bed trucks and large vehicles.
  • Thorough knowledge of traffic laws, defensive driving, and ability to operate assigned vehicles.
  • Excellent attendance record required.
  • Able to work overtime as needed.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
Skills
  • Language:
    Ability to write and read routine reports or job orders; speak effectively with customers or employees; speak, read, and hear English.
  • Mathematical:
    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Reasoning Ability:
    Interpret documents and instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form; organize and prioritize job projects and requirements.
Attendance Demands

Attendance required Monday through Friday within normal business hours as established by the Warehouse Supervisor. Employee may be required to work overtime.

Physical Demands

The employee is regularly required to use hands to grasp and lift, reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to sit, climb, and balance. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently up to 50 pounds, and occasionally up to 75 pounds. Specific visual abilities include close and distance vision, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

  • Noise level typically loud.
  • Exposure to hot and cold temperatures; work both inside and outside, including elevated balconies.
