Position Title: Receiving and Shipping Specialist

The OpportunityAGI is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Receiving & Shipping Specialist to join our Lenexa manufacturing team. This role is responsible for managing inbound materials, verifying electronic components, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting outbound shipments. This position ensures that all materials entering or leaving the facility meet quality, documentation, and traceability requirements essential in an electronics manufacturing environment.
This position is ideal for an organized specialist who enjoys a fast-paced environment, takes pride in accuracy, and thrives when collaborating with operations, purchasing, logistics, and production teams.
Responsibilities- Inbound Receiving: manage the receipt of incoming electronic components, assemblies, and raw materials by inspecting, verifying, and processing deliveries. Ensure quantities, part numbers, and certifications (e.g., RoHS, IPC standards) are accurate and complete.
- Material Handling: safely transport, organize, and store materials using pallet jacks, carts, and lifts while maintaining compliance with ESD and environmental handling requirements to protect sensitive products.
- Inventory Accuracy: maintain accurate inventory records through timely ERP/MRP transactions, cycle counts, and material tracking, ensuring full traceability of electronic components.
- Shipping Support: prepare outbound shipments, generate packing lists, verify customer requirements, and coordinate pickups with carriers to support seamless order fulfillment.
- Quality & Compliance: uphold the highest standards of quality and compliance by following ESD protocols, properly handling sensitive components, and maintaining documentation that meets industry standards.
- Cross‑Functional Coordination: partner closely with production, purchasing, and engineering to resolve discrepancies, support operations efficiencies and maintain material flow.
- Documentation Management: maintain accurate and organized records related to receiving, shipping, nonconforming materials, and inventory adjustments.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED.
- Preferred: Associate’s degree (two-year college or technical school) or work equivalent.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in warehouse receiving, shipping, or inventory control (electronics preferred).
- ERP/MRP System Knowledge such as SAP, Oracle, M2M, or similar.
- PIT and/or forklift operating experience.
- ESD Handling and familiarity with electronic component sensitivity.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to read technical documentation such as packing slips, purchase orders, and part specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
