Material Handler, Forklift Operator, Warehouse Associate, Distribution/ General Warehouse
Receive incoming materials, supplies, and products from vendors and carriers.
Verify received shipments against packing slips, purchase orders, and receiving documentation.
Inspect incoming materials for damage, defects, quantity discrepancies, and compliance with quality requirements.
Accurately record and process inventory transactions in the inventory management system.
Store materials in designated warehouse or inventory locations following established procedures.
Pick, stage, and deliver materials for production, manufacturing, or customer job orders.
Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
Load and unload trucks while following company safety procedures.
Assist with cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory reconciliation activities.
Maintain accurate inventory records and report discrepancies to supervisors.
Support shipping operations by preparing, packaging, labeling, and staging outbound shipments.
Assist in maintaining warehouse organization, cleanliness, and efficient material flow.
Follow all safety policies, procedures, and OSHA requirements.
Work collaboratively with purchasing, production, quality, and shipping departments.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED required.
Previous warehouse, material handling, inventory, or logistics experience preferred.
Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control practices.
Ability to safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment.
Experience using inventory management or ERP systems preferred.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to read and interpret work orders, pick lists, packing slips, and shipping documents.
Basic computer skills, including data entry and Microsoft Office applications.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
Frequently lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds.
Stand, walk, bend, reach, and climb throughout the workday.
Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment for extended periods.
Work in a warehouse and manufacturing environment with varying temperatures.
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Working Conditions
Warehouse and manufacturing environment.
Exposure to moving machinery, forklifts, and industrial equipment.
Overtime may be required based on business needs and shipment schedules.
