Build the Backbone of Kansas City's Best Electrical Team

For more than 40 years, Teague Electric has powered homes, businesses, and communities across the Kansas City area. Our success isn't built solely on the work happening in the field—it's built on the people behind the scenes who make that work possible.

We're looking for a Warehouse Purchaser who understands that having the right material, at the right price, at the right time can make or break a project. If you're organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working with vendors, and know how to stay ahead of material needs, we want to talk to you!

At Teague, purchasing is more than placing orders. This position plays a critical role in keeping our warehouse stocked, our projects moving, and our field teams productive. You'll work closely with our warehouse team, field team, vendors, and supply houses to make sure materials are sourced accurately, efficiently, and cost-effectively.

Why Join Teague? Competitive Compensation
  • $22–$27 per hour
  • Incentive, safety, and referral bonus opportunities
Benefits That Support Your Future
  • 401(k) with 50% company match
  • Health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance
  • Health Savings Account (HSA)
  • Paid Time Off
  • Professional development and tuition reimbursement
  • Employee Assistance Program
  • Employee appreciation events and company celebrations
A Culture You’ll Be Proud To Join

At Teague, people matter. We believe in teamwork, accountability, continuous improvement, and treating each other with respect. Many of our employees have built long‑term careers here because they know they're valued, supported, and given opportunities to grow.

What You’ll Do
  • Purchase electrical materials, tools, equipment, and supplies needed for warehouse inventory and active projects
  • Work with vendors and supply houses to obtain pricing, availability, and lead times
  • Create and process purchase orders accurately and efficiently

Communicate material availability, backorders, substitutions, and potential delays to the appropriate teams
  • Review material requests and help ensure orders are complete and accurate before purchasing
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with team members, vendors and supply partners
  • Receive and verify incoming shipments from vendors and supply houses
  • Assist to unload, inspect, and organize materials for inventory
  • Assist in pulling and staging materials for upcoming projects using pick tickets
  • Ensure field crews receive the right materials at the right time
  • Operate forklifts and material‑handling equipment safely
  • Assist with loading and unloading trucks
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation
  • Deliver materials to jobsites when needed
  • Assist with inventory management and other warehouse operations as needed
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience in purchasing, procurement, inventory management, warehouse operations, or a related role
  • Electrical or construction material knowledge strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with electrical supply houses, materials, tools, and equipment is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Comfortable working with pricing, quantities, purchase orders, and vendor information
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple requests and stay organized in a fast‑paced environment
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to learn purchasing and inventory software
  • Dependable, proactive, and self‑motivated
  • Forklift experience (we will train)
  • Valid driver’s license with the ability to obtain a DOT medical card
  • A team‑first attitude and strong work ethic
Why This Role Matters

Anyone can place an order. The right purchaser helps keep an entire operation moving. Every price you negotiate, every lead time you catch, and every material order you get ahead of helps our crews stay productive and our projects stay on schedule. You'll be an important connection between our field teams, warehouse, vendors, and project leadership.

If you enjoy solving problems, building vendor relationships, finding the best purchasing solutions, and being part of a team where your work has a direct impact on the company’s success, we'd love to hear from you.

Teague Electric is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We make employment decisions based on merit, qualifications, and business needs.
