Energy Solutions Advisor
Blue Ridge Energy is seeking an Energy Solutions Advisor to join the Energy Solutions team within Electric Services. This role offers a unique opportunity to combine member service, technical consultation, and energy education to help our members make informed decisions about their energy use.
As an Energy Solutions Advisor, you will serve as a trusted resource for members, employees, and customers by providing expert guidance on energy efficiency, electric rates, distributed energy resources, and emerging technologies. From helping members understand their energy usage to supporting solar interconnections, EV charging, battery storage, and energy-saving programs, this position plays a key role in advancing Blue Ridge Energy's commitment to exceptional service and innovation.
WhatYou'll Do
- Deliver outstanding service through phone, digital, and in-person interactions.
- Help members understand and manage their energy use through data analysis and energy-saving recommendations.
- Provide guidance on solar, battery storage, electric vehicle infrastructure, and other distributed energy resources.
- Support residential and commercial members with rate options, billing questions, and efficiency strategies.
- Promote Blue Ridge Energy programs, products, and services that benefit our members and communities including Flex Pay, Budget Billing, bank draft, underground/overhead service, security lighting, water heaters, high efficiency heat pumps, Propane & Fuels programs, Home Serve, and Community Solar.
- Pursue Grant funding for Blue Ridge Energy by providing application and administrative support.
- Partner with teams across the cooperative to provide timely, accurate, and member-focused solutions.
- Stay informed on evolving energy technologies, legislation, and industry trends while helping educate members and employees.

- Has a working understanding of energy usage and rate structures.
- Works collaboratively across departments and builds strong relationships.

- Has strong written and verbal communication skills and is comfortable presenting to groups.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Three years of customer service, member service, or related public-facing experience required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while providing exceptional service.
