Level Saw Operator

As an essential member of the production team, the Level Saw Operator is responsible for cutting raw materials for furniture components in accordance with design specifications

Essential duties and responsibilities

Prioritize and process daily orders as assigned to meet production needs

Ensure proper staging of materials for orders

Verify accuracy of cuts by adhering to quality assurance standards

Maintain equipment in good operational order by following operating instructions and established procedures, trouble-shoot breakdowns and report operational issues to supervisor or maintenance

Maintain excellent housekeeping practices in production area Practice proper safety techniques

Follow all procedures and guidelines

Other assignments as defined

Qualification requirements

Effective communication & interpersonal skills required to build relationships across the business

Must be able to follow written instructions in English, read a tape measure and calculate basic math

High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills

Effective verbal, listening and written communication skills

Effective organizational, stress and time management skills

Demonstrates a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines

Ability to work independently or as a team member

Physical demands and abilities

Prolonged periods of standing, bending, reaching

Able to lift 50 pounds, repetitively

Regularly use hands and fingers to handle, control or feel objects
