Essential Duties and Responsibilities Wipe excess glaze from finished frames using approved tools and techniques.
Smooth and clean product surfaces as needed to achieve the required finished appearance.
Handle products carefully to prevent chips, cracks, scratches, or other damage.
Place finished pieces in designated locations for inspection, drying, firing, or further processing.
Follow production specifications, quality standards, and work instructions.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Properly use and care for tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE).Follow all company safety procedures, including proper handling of glaze and other production materials.
Report quality issues, equipment problems,Meet established production and quality requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
Qualifications Previous manufacturing, finishing, or production experience is preferred but not required.
Ability to perform repetitive hand movements and detailed work.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Willingness to follow safety procedures and wear required PPE.
Physical Requirements Ability to stand and work for extended periods.
Ability to frequently use hands and fingers for detailed wiping and finishing tasks.
Ability to lift, carry, and move materials or products as required by the position.
Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive movements throughout the workday.
Ability to work in a manufacturing/finishing-room environment where dust, moisture, noise, and production materials may be present.
Work Environment This position is performed in a production finishing room and may involve exposure to glaze materials, dust, machinery, noise, and varying temperatures. Appropriate PPE and safety procedures must be followed at all times.
Performance Expectations The Glaze wiper is expected to consistently produce quality work, maintain a safe and clean work area, meet production requirements, and demonstrate dependability and attention to detail.
