Cable Technician - ISP Datacenter Environment

Location: Lenoir, NC
Schedule: Monday-Saturday, 6:00am-5:00pm (1st & 2nd Shifts)
? Overtime and Saturday work may be required

Job Overview

We are seeking Cable Technicians to support structured cabling installation inside a large ISP/datacenter environment. This role is ideal for candidates looking to build hands-on experience with copper and fiber infrastructure while working under the guidance of senior technicians.

Key Responsibilities

• Pull, dress, and label Cat5e/Cat6 cabling in accordance with TIA/EIA standards
• Begin RJ45 connector and patch panel terminations with supervision
• Assist with labeling, cable identification, and documentation
• Learn and perform basic punch-downs for telecom blocks
• Support cable testing using tools such as Fluke or EXFO (with guidance)
• Gain exposure to fiber cable dressing and basic fiber handling practices
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Follow instructions from senior technicians and supervisors

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience or exposure to:
  • Cable installation / structured cabling
  • Low-voltage systems
  • Cat5/Cat6 cabling
  • Termination & punch-down techniques
  • Construction or field-based work environments
• Must not have worked in the META datacenter within the last 6 months

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lenoir, NC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr.
