STATUS

Hourly, at-will, seasonal employee

SCHEDULE
:
Variable weekly schedule, Tuesday through Sunday (Mondays off)

SALARY
: $17.00 per hour

Position Summary

Reporting to the Patron Services Manager, the Front of House Associate shall work on a varied, six-day-per-week schedule as per published schedules, including box office using Audience View, house management, and concessions using Square to support activities at Shakespeare & Company’s two outdoor stages and two indoor stages.

  • Answering the Box Office phone;
  • Filling orders by using Shakespeare & Company’s online ticketing system;
  • Maintain Shakespeare & Company’s database on the same system;
  • Scanning patron tickets;
  • Ensuring patron safety in theaters;
  • Selling food and drink at the concessions stand;
  • Driving company golf cart for outdoor shows;
  • Participating in D.E.A. training;
  • Collaborating with other employees to create a supportive and inclusive environment that prioritizes safety and dignity;

  • Work professionally with other employees;
  • Maintain a positive and respectful attitude;
  • An empathetic style, exhibiting an openness to many perspectives, able to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods;
  • Be dependable and timely for scheduled shifts;
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team, and communicate clearly with others;
  • Demonstrate a familiarity with Microsoft Office;
  • Ability to sit, stand, and stoop; reaching with hands and arms; use of hands to finger objects and controls; lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds; close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision; and reading of written, printed and/or computer screen data

Compensation

This hourly, non-Exempt, at-will employee will receive $17.00 per hour. Overtime will be provided when exceeding 40 hours.
