CNA, Nursing Home

Mount Carmel Care Center, a Catholic, not-for-profit skilled nursing and rehab facility in North Adams, MA, is seeking a compassionate CNA to provide resident-centered care to older adults. In this role, you'll assist with ADLs, mobility, personal hygiene, and comfort measures while monitoring vital signs and reporting changes to the nursing team. You'll support long-term care, short-term rehab, and memory care residents in a warm, mission-driven environment that values dignity, respect, and holistic well-being.

As part of a close-knit team, you'll build meaningful relationships and grow professionally in skilled nursing care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Assist residents with safe transfers, ambulation, and positioning
• Measure and record vital signs, intake/output, and report changes to nursing staff
• Support residents during meals, including setup, feeding assistance, and monitoring
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in electronic health records
• Follow infection control, safety, and fall prevention protocols
• Support resident comfort, dignity, and person-centered care plans
• Communicate effectively with nurses, therapists, residents, and families
• Participate in restorative and rehabilitative activities as directed
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment aligned with Catholic values
