Weekends – Every Weekend.

Department Assistant is responsible for a range of clerical and administrative support services essential to the daily operations of the department, including participation in special projects and initiatives, project management, and database and report maintenance.
Major Responsibilities- Coordinate a variety of administrative assignments under department management and ensure timely processing and documentation for various programs.
- Maintain databases and spreadsheets, reconcile data for accuracy, and research and resolve data gaps.
- Provide administrative support for the department and for projects, including arranging meetings, producing correspondence and reports, and performing clerical duties such as receiving phone calls, sorting mail, and ordering supplies.
- Act as a subject‑matter expert for department policies and procedures (if required).
- Ensure adequate inventory of office supplies, maintain and arrange repair of office equipment, and set up and maintain office PCs and related equipment.
- Assist with the orientation of new department members (if required).
- Required:
High school degree or equivalent. - Preferred:
Associate's degree.
- Required:
- Minimum two (2) years of related department administration experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated analytical, problem‑solving, and documentation skills.
- Previous experience with database software.
- Ability to use standard computer software packages and applications.
- Preferred:
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Unless a specific certification, licensure, or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience providing proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements.
