Planner – Full Time (37.5 hours/week)
Montachusett Regional Planning Commission (MRPC) seeks a motivated and detail‑oriented Planner to join our team. Zoning and land use experience highly desirable (at least three years of experience). This position is also responsible for and plays a key role in supporting local and regional planning initiatives, making improvements to local zoning bylaws/ordinances, and community and economic development efforts.
Key Responsibilities- Preparing clear and comprehensive reports
- Conducting community engagement activities
- Managing tasks and projects to meet established deadlines
- Experience working with Massachusetts zoning regulations
- Bachelor's degree in planning or a directly related field
- Experience in report writing and public presentations
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Three years of land use and zoning experience
- Background in municipal planning, community and economic development
- A master’s degree in planning
$55,000 through $75,000, DOQ.
Salary Range: $55,000 - $75,000

- Employees work 2 days in the office (more if required) and 3 days remotely.
- MRPC’s office: located in a Class A office building within 150 acres of open space w/3.5 miles of walking trails, deer, and white snowy owls; w/in 1,000 feet of State Rt. 2, and, w/5 MBTA commuter rail stops.
- MRPC is a member of the MA Retirement System and Group Insurance Commission.
