Leominster Public Schools is seeking an 1:1 ABA paraprofessional to assist the student in the classroom with all instructional materials as determined by the assigned teacher and help the student with needs outside of the classroom but related to achieving needed skills and requirements for succeeding in school.
QUALIFICATIONS
* Associates Degree or Passed the Para Pro Test.
* Have ability to relate to and work with disabled children.
* Have excellent integrity and demonstrate good moral character and initiative.
* Exhibit a personality that demonstrates interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents, and the community.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the direct supervision of the teacher, the 1:1 ABA Paraprofessional shall:
* Assist the student with all instructional and non-instructional tasks as assigned by the teacher.
* Assist the student with the preparation of all materials and books.
* Assist the teacher in related clerical work.
* Use computers and/or electronic equipment to fulfill job functions and support remote learning.
* Serve as a role model for students and staff in demonstrating positive attitudes, appropriate attire and grooming, and effective work ethic.
* Participate in appropriate workshop programs and attend any required meetings.
* Display ethical behavior in working with students, parents, school personnel, and outside agencies associated with the school.
* Protect confidentiality of records, IEPs and information gained as part of exercising professional duties and use discretion in sharing such information within legal confines.
* Provide student support and management of classroom assessments and MCAS.
PROVIDE:
* Classroom Coverage.
* Individual Accommodations and Modifications per students IEP.
* Community Supports (field trips and/or vocational sites)
* Agenda and Homework Supervision
* Small Group and Individual Instruction
* Daily check-in's for students.
