Job DescriptionNorthwest Elementary is seeking dedicated and flexible Substitute Teachers to join our team. Substitutes play an important role in ensuring continuity of learning by providing high-quality instruction and classroom management in the absence of the regular classroom teacher.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver lesson plans and instructional activities provided by the classroom teacher.
- Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful learning environment.
- Follow school policies, procedures, and routines.
- Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, cafeteria, playground, and other assigned areas.
- Communicate with staff and administration as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (Education degree preferred).
- Prior experience working with children is strongly preferred.
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new situations and follow directions.
- Positive attitude and commitment to student learning.
