Salary: $53,968 to $110,109 Per Year (commensurate with experience)

Job Responsibilities:

• Teaches district‑approved curriculum and prepares lesson plans accordingly.
• Meets and instructs assigned classes in the designated locations and times.
• Plans a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students.
• Creates a classroom/career area environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate for the maturity and interest of the students.
• Encourages students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior and work‑ethic when working on special projects.
• Guides the learning process toward achievement of curriculum goals and establishes clear objectives for lessons, units, and projects.
• Ensures accuracy and best practices for compliance with organizational standards.
• Keeps records and prepares progress reports electronically.
• Proficient basic computer skills.
• Keeps current in discipline and teaching techniques; participates in professional development and remains current in the field.
• Performs other related teaching duties as assigned.
• Supervises the classroom, students, and teaching assistants/substitutes when applicable.

Qualifications:

• Must be willing to pursue licensure according to the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) requirements within a prescribed time, or possess the appropriate DESE license.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
• Must submit a cover letter, resume, transcripts, proof of MA DESE license and SEI endorsement (if applicable), and three current letters of recommendation or references.
