ELL Paraprofessional

The ELL Paraprofessional supports multilingual learners by providing academic and language assistance in the classroom and small-group settings. Working under the direction of the classroom teacher and ELL teacher, the paraprofessional helps students develop English language proficiency while promoting grade-level academic success. This position fosters an inclusive learning environment, builds positive relationships with students and families, and encourages confidence and independence.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide instructional support to English Language Learners in individual, small-group, and classroom settings.
• Reinforce language development in listening, speaking, reading, and writing using teacher-directed instructional strategies.
• Support students in accessing grade-level curriculum while promoting English language acquisition.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and the ELL teacher to implement instructional plans and accommodations.
• Build positive, respectful relationships with students to foster a welcoming and supportive learning environment.
• Encourage student participation, confidence, and independence in academic and social settings.
• Assist with classroom activities, assessments, and instructional materials as directed.
• Monitor student progress and communicate observations with the classroom teacher and ELL teacher.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to district policies and professional standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the educational needs of multilingual learners.

Salary commensurate with related experience.
