We are looking for a full-time Friction Stir Welding Engineer who loves working in a dynamic landscape and is excited to grow with a team around high-tech products in the manufacturing sector. We are offering an opportunity to break the mold of a big organization and join a team that is passionate about technology, impact, and innovation. As an engineer with Solvus Global you will work with team members from many fields (mechanical, controls, software, etc.)
to define the problem space, propose a solution, design the architecture, manage projects, and co-develop the final product. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include developing Friction Stir Welding parameters, building large parts for customers, selecting ideal materials, designing fixturing, and driving the business case for friction stir additive manufacturing.
Skills:
- Must be a US Person according to FAR
22 CFR 120.15 - US Person - Minimum 5 years' experience in Friction Stir Welding
- Experience designing fixtures and building parts
- Experience in additive manufacturing with friction stir preferable
- CAD/CAM experience including an understanding of g-code
Skills:
- Degree in Mechanical, Materials, or Welding Engineering
- Desire to work in a team-based environment
- Desire to develop new skills on the job
- Ability to take and give direction well
- Strong desire to understand both technology and business aspects
$110,000 - $160,000
