Engineering Manager

We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a growing team responsible for complex product development and technical execution. This position combines people leadership, resource planning, and hands-on engineering oversight, making it well suited for someone who can develop engineers while keeping multiple technical initiatives moving forward.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of engineers while setting expectations and managing performance.
• Allocate engineering resources across multiple projects based on priorities, workload, technical needs, and available capacity.
• Guide multidisciplinary teams through complex product development and technical problem-solving activities.
• Oversee engineering execution to ensure technical work remains aligned with project requirements, schedules, budgets, and quality expectations.
• Provide technical direction during design reviews, system-level evaluations, and engineering decision-making.
• Support product development from early-stage concepts through testing, qualification, and implementation.
• Identify team capability gaps and contribute to hiring, training, succession planning, and employee development.
• Drive improvements to engineering processes, workflows, and team effectiveness.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and customers to resolve technical issues and keep programs moving forward.
• Develop technical plans, resource estimates, schedules, and supporting information for new and existing projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a closely related engineering field.
• Strong mechanical engineering background with the technical credibility required to lead engineers working on complex hardware and systems.
• Proven experience leading engineers, preferably including direct people management; experienced engineering supervisors or senior technical leaders with substantial team leadership may also be considered.
• Demonstrated product development experience involving complex engineered products or systems, including progression from design through testing, qualification, or implementation.
• Strong system-level engineering capability with experience evaluating requirements, interfaces, integration, technical tradeoffs, performance, cost, and project constraints.
• Experience managing engineering resources, competing priorities, workloads, and team performance across multiple concurrent initiatives.
• U.S. Citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain the security clearance required for the position.
