PositionTitle: Assistive (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). – Enabling Technology Specialist
Hours: M-F 8 a.m.–4 p.m.
Location: Aspire location in Maryland, New Hampshire, or Massachusetts
Salary: $50,000–$60,000 annually, based on education and experience
• Install, configure, and maintain assistive and enabling technologies for individuals receiving services.
• Work directly with individuals, families, and caregivers across home and program settings to implement technology solutions that enhance independence, safety, and quality of life.
• Assess client needs, identify technology opportunities, and provide training to promote greater autonomy.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Assistive Technology, Rehabilitation Technology, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in IT support, assistive technology support, or technology training preferred.
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn and support a broad range of evolving technologies.
- Exceptional patience and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technology concepts in clear and accessible language.
- Creative problem‑solving mindset and ability to adapt technology solutions to individual needs.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- Ability to travel regularly to homes and program locations in all states served by Aspire.
- Hybrid position requiring travel to group homes and state offices periodically.
- Employee is frequently required to walk, sit, and use hands for fine manipulation, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms using a keyboard and video display terminal.
- Employee is occasionally required to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb stairs.
- Employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision.
- Work environment is a standard office setting with standard office equipment (fax, copier, phone, computer, etc.).
