Location:
Leominster, MA
Hours:
Sunday - Tuesday, alternating Wednesdays, 7pm - 7am
- Safety First:
Adhere to all prescribed safety precautions and utilize personal protection equipment (PPE) as required. Promote a safe work environment. - Equipment Mastery:
Oversees the setup and operation of equipment, material use, labeling, and related activities on assigned shift. - Mold Management:
Assist with the installation of molds/dies, assist the maintenance staff with mold changes using a hoist crane, and maintain molding machines. - Process Optimization:
- Manage molding machine setup, including ancillary equipment.
- Follow and document process parameters to ensure repeatable results.
- Process molding parameters to achieve quality parts and optimized cycle times.
- Respond promptly to machine alarms.
- Develop and implement repeatable molding processes.
- Maintenance & Repair:
- Carry out prescribed maintenance and repair operations on injection molding machines and related equipment.
- Diagnose problems and implement effective solutions.
- Repair/replace components, switches, sensors, etc.; assemble, disassemble, and maintain molds and wire switches.
- Maintain a required inventory of spare parts.
- Participate in the development of preventative maintenance and standardized work procedures.
- Troubleshooting & Problem Solving:
- Use troubleshooting skills to improve and develop repeatable molding processes.
- Manage and troubleshoot work stoppages due to handle-installer malfunction.
- Investigate equipment deficiencies and recommend modifications/improvements.
- Documentation & Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate time and production records.
The Role
- Working knowledge of machines, conveyors, and robotic operations
- Intermediate knowledge of injection molding processing
- Mold maintenance experience
- Materials knowledge (plastics, metals, etc.)
- Basic 5S procedures
- Husky Injection Molding Machine knowledge is a plus
- Strong attention to detail with excellent prioritization and follow-up skills
- Must be able to work under time pressure, prioritize, and complete tasks in a timely manner
