New England Fabricated Metals, a precision sheet metal fabrication and machining manufacturer, is seeking a skilled Punch Press Setup Operator or Laser Operator to join their team in Leominster, MA
.

Responsibilities
  • Install preset jobs and perform setup of punch press or laser machines, including tooling, fixturing, and machinery.
  • Coordinate with Engineering team as changes arise during setup or production.
  • Verify settings by measuring positions, first-run parts, and sample work pieces, adhering to quality production standards and tight tolerance requirements.
  • Perform physical functions of the job, including lifting up to 50 lbs., and maneuvering product as needed.
  • Responsible for complex setups, including tooling selection, forming, and editing programs at the machine.
  • Perform programming at the machine and assist with offline programming as needed.
  • Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures, process integrity, and regulations, including keeping work area and equipment clean and organized.
  • Monitor calibration of measuring equipment and ensure machinery and tooling are operating safely and efficiently.
  • Verify paperwork, print number, revision levels, operation sequence, materials, programs, and check sheets are correct and consistent.
  • Run jobs in an efficient, organized, and safe manner while following work instructions, prints, and work order sequences.
  • Represent New England Fabricated Metals’ values and deliver excellent service through interactions with team members, customers, and vendors.
