Exemption Status: Non-Exempt
Hiring Range: $56.64 - $59.40
Schedule:
As needed (Weekdays and weekends with major holidays).
- Utilizes the Nursing Process for the delivery and management of patient care from admission to discharge, appropriate to the developmental age of the patient population.
- Performs patient assessment and reassessment according to standard procedure.
- Develops and coordinates an individual plan of care including discharge planning.
- Directs, supervises, coordinates, and evaluates nursing care within the assigned clinical setting.
- Delegates appropriately to others in accordance with job description and competency level.
- Documents patient care according to standard procedure.
- Develops, implements, coordinates, and documents Education Plan for patient/family/significant other.
- Ensures quality and continuity of care through collaboration with other health care providers.
- Administers medications, performs treatments, therapies, and operates equipment per policy and procedure.
- Assists physician with treatment, procedures, and special tests as required or directed.
- Participates in and supports Nursing Governance activities.
- Assumes responsibility for professional growth and assists in education and development of staff.
- Participates in performance improvement initiatives and demonstrates the use of quality improvement in daily operations.
- License/Certification/
Education: - Current Massachusetts licensure and registration.
- Completion of an accredited school of nursing program.
- BLS is required for every RN unless ACLS certification is current, in addition to any unit specific certifications and competencies.
- Experience/
Skills: - Thorough knowledge of the discipline of Nursing.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience that provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed may be substituted for the above requirements.
Work is considered medium. Position requires working indoors in a normal patient care environment.
