Make sure all employees are following quality testing procedures
Develop the quality specifications for new products, and update those for existing products
Track quality issues. Report results and lead quality improvement efforts
Help train employees on quality and food safety procedures
Make sure all employees are following Food Safety procedures
Develop quality specifications for new products and update them as customer requirements change
Periodically check that the production of sheets and finished goods is good against our internal standards.
Make sure that all product specifications are properly documented.
Make sure that customer complaints are duly logged in the company production intranet.
To have the initiative or wherewithal implement improvements to our processes when we get a customer complaint.
Train operators and packing personnel as to our quality specifications and able to identify which production lot may have a quality problem and have to be able to coordinate rework activities. This may involve supervising a few people
To be able to implement procedural changes to improve our quality, such as implement new forms to keep records, to implement new quality checks, or suggest production modifications, or production controls to maintain our quality and/or improve our quality.
Has the authority to stop production due to a quality problem or Food Safety problem
Has the authority to decide whether to ship product based on quality and Food Safety criteria

Minimum Education and Experience Required2 plus years of experience in workplace safety, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
2 plus years working with products to ensure quality compliance.
Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety compliance requirements.
Experience conducting safety training and workplace safety inspections.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Additional Requirements Fluent in Spanish and English (spoken and written) preferred.
Ability to communicate safety procedures clearly to a diverse workforce.
Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
