As a Heavy Diesel Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our fleet of specialized vehicles and equipment is operating at peak performance. Your expertise will help drive the success of critical infrastructure projects across the underground utility industry. This position is pivotal to maintaining operational efficiency, minimizing downtime, and ensuring safety and reliability on every job site.

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy diesel vehicles and equipment, including diagnostics, troubleshooting, and overhauls.
• Inspect, maintain, and ensure compliance with safety standards for all fleet assets.
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Maintain detailed records of all repairs and services performed.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure equipment readiness for deployment.
• Implement best practices for preventative maintenance to extend equipment lifecycle.

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in diesel mechanics are a strong asset.
• ___ years of experience as a heavy diesel mechanic, preferably in the utility or construction industries.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL preferred.

• Certifications such as ASE Diesel Mechanic or equivalent.
• Graduate degrees or advanced coursework in mechanical engineering or related fields.
• Proficiency with fleet management software or diagnostic tools.

• Be regularly required to sit for extended periods, talk, or hear.
• Perform fine motor tasks involving hand and finger skills, such as typing, writing, or using a telephone.
• Frequently stand, walk, and reach with arms as part of your daily tasks.
