School Psychologist - Leonardtown, MD

Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students as a School Psychologist for the upcoming academic year. Our Student Services Department is seeking dedicated psychologists to provide in-person support for a diverse school community. This full-time contract opportunity begins in August 2026 and runs through June 2027, offering a chance to collaborate with educators, families, and fellow professionals in fostering student growth and well-being.

• Active Maryland School Psychology License
• Experience working in K‑12 educational settings as a school psychologist
• Strong knowledge of assessment tools, counseling techniques, and behavioral interventions
• Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and other specialists for comprehensive student support
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills
• Commitment to culturally responsive, inclusive practices

• Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational assessments
• Provide individual and group counseling for students
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral interventions
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to create a supportive environment for students’ academic and social‑emotional success
• Offer crisis intervention and support when needed
• Maintain accurate documentation and reports in compliance with district policies and state regulations
