St. Mary’s Ryken High School
is seeking an exceptional
Mathematics Teacher
to inspire and challenge students in grades 9–12.
This position is open to both full-time and part-time educators who are eager to make a meaningful impact in a rigorous, college-preparatory environment. This role is ideal for a passionate educator who combines strong mathematical content knowledge with innovative, student-centered teaching practices in a college-preparatory environment.
About the Role
St. Mary’s Ryken math teachers design engaging, concept-driven lessons that lead students toward mastery of mathematical skills and understanding. Instruction integrates both traditional approaches and modern technologies—including graphing calculators, iPad applications, and appropriate software to deepen learning and prepare students for future STEM pursuits.
- Conceptual understanding and procedural fluency
- Multiple representations of mathematical ideas (verbal, graphical, numerical, and analytic)
- Real-world applications and interdisciplinary STEM connections
- Clear, precise communication using correct mathematical terminology and notation

Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver rigorous, engaging lessons aligned with curricular goals

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or Mathematics Education (required)
- Teaching experience preferred
- State teaching licensure/certification preferred, but not required
- Strong command of mathematical concepts across a range of secondary topics
- Demonstrated ability to adapt instruction using student-centered pedagogy
