Candidate must successfully pass the EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms.
PCU/IMC/Stepdown experience required.
First-time travelers accepted.
Description:
This position involves providing nursing care in a progressive care setting.
Candidates will need to float to telemetry and medical-surgical units as needed.
Every other weekend coverage is required, and unit will direct based on operational need.
No call duty is required.
The unit has a patient ratio of 1:5 or 1:6 during day and night shifts.
Clinical diagnoses may include chronic health issues such as diabetes, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, end-stage renal disease, as well as acute conditions like sepsis and post-operative recovery.
Special procedures may include care for chest tubes, PCA infusions, bedside monitoring, and non-titratable drips.
Experience with equipment such as bedside monitoring systems and cardiac monitoring is preferred.
Candidates should be familiar with managing various IV protocols and central line care.
Interdisciplinary support is available, including physical therapy and respiratory services.
Maintaining patient safety and adhering to isolation precautions is required.
The role may involve managing complex patient needs and providing high-quality nursing care.
