Candidate must successfully pass the EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms.
First-time travelers accepted.
Float to telemetry and medical-surgical units as needed.
Every other weekend required.

Description:

The position is for an Intermediate Care Registered Nurse.
Candidates are expected to manage care for adult patients.
The daily census will include an average of 15 patients.
Patient ratios on the unit are typically 1:5 to 1:6.
Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy.
Familiarity with managing cardiac rhythms, starting and maintaining IVs, and caring for patients with renal failure is essential.

Experience with telemetry monitoring and handling IV infusions is preferred.
Candidates will be responsible for procedures such as chest tube management and PCA infusions.
Flexibility to float to other units is necessary based on operational needs.
Clear communication and teamwork are critical in delivering patient care.
Weekend and holiday coverage may be required.
Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in isolation precautions, oxygen administration, and support for patients in various stages of recovery.
Successful candidates will be organized and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
