Qualifications and

Experience:

• Valid Educator Certification required
• Successful completion of the EIPA written test with a minimum score of 75%
• Either a 4.0 or higher on the EIPA performance assessment or hold an active National Interpreter Certification (NIC) from RID
• Previous experience in educational or school settings preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Commitment to ethical interpreting standards and professional conduct

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Providing accurate American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation for students and staff during classroom instruction, assemblies, meetings, and other school events
• Adapting interpretation style to fit the unique needs and ages of students
• Collaborating with faculty, administration, and special education teams to support student learning goals
• Maintaining confidentiality and upholding professional boundaries at all times
• Assisting in fostering an inclusive, accessible, and positive school culture
• Staying current with industry best practices and continuing education requirements
