Job Description:Job Summary:
As an RN in Interventional Radiology, you will provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures. You will be responsible for assessing patient needs, planning and implementing care, and evaluating patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with interventional radiology procedures such as angiograms, biopsies, and drain placements.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and sedation levels during procedures.
• Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process, obtaining consent, and ensuring they are comfortable.
• Administer medications and IV contrast as prescribed.
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
• Provide post-procedure care and instructions to patients and their families.
• Maintain accurate and complete patient records.
• Ensure all equipment is properly set up and functioning before procedures.
• Follow strict sterile techniques and infection control protocols.
• Participate in patient discharge planning and follow-up care.
Required Qualifications:
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in interventional radiology or a related field.
• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of interventional radiology procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Certification in Radiology Nursing (CRN).
Certifications:
• Certification in Radiology Nursing (CRN) (preferred).
