Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

AMN Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide dedicated one-to-one nursing support for a medically complex student in a school setting located in Leonardtown, Maryland. In this role, the nurse will accompany the student throughout the school day, including transportation to and from school via the school bus. The ideal candidate will have experience managing complex pediatric medical needs and be comfortable working independently while collaborating with school personnel and families.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct one-to-one nursing care for an assigned student throughout the school day
• Ride the school bus with the student to ensure safe transportation
• Monitor the student's health status and respond to medical needs as they arise
• Perform tracheostomy (trach) care and monitoring
• Manage G-tube feedings and related care
• Monitor for seizure activity and implement established seizure protocols
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Maintain accurate documentation and student health records
• Collaborate with school staff, parents/guardians, and healthcare providers
• Support the student's participation in educational and school-related activities
• Respond appropriately to medical emergencies
