Parts Manager

- Location:
Leoti, KS - Salary: $58,000–$72,000 annually (based on experience)
- Shift: Day shift, 7:30am-5:30pm
- Rotating Saturday morning coverage
- Rotating on call for evening/weekend parts orders
Relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidates
Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Parts Manager to lead and optimize all aspects of the dealership's parts department. This individual will be responsible for improving department performance, driving profitable parts sales, maintaining exceptional customer service, managing inventory, controlling expenses, and developing a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities- Lead daily operations of the Parts Department to maximize efficiency and profitability.
- Develop and maintain processes that provide outstanding service to both internal and external customers.
- Create and manage the annual department budget and performance goals.
- Develop and execute marketing initiatives to grow parts sales.
- Monitor department performance and adjust strategies to achieve business objectives.
- Manage perpetual and annual parts inventory counts.
- Submit warranty and return claims accurately and within required timelines.
- Maximize available vendor discount and purchasing programs.
- Recruit, train, coach, and retain Parts Department employees.
- Maintain department tools, equipment, and vehicles.
- Ensure a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
- 4+ years of Parts Department management or operations experience.
- Experience leading and developing employees in a team environment.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with agricultural equipment and parts, including John Deere products, is preferred.
- Understanding of Parts Department Financials, budgeting, and inventory management.
- Ability to analyze departmental reports and use data to improve performance.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Willingness to work occasional extended hours and weekends as needed.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the workday.
- Regularly lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Operate a motor vehicle.
- Work extensively on a computer.
- Ability to hear, speak, and see sufficiently to perform job duties.
