Ready to be a Titan?
Service Titan's compensation team is small, high-output, and operates at the intersection of compensation strategy, enablement, financial planning, and business partnership. We're looking for a Lead, Compensation Programs who can do more than execute, someone who can design, lead, influence, and build.
This role isn't for someone who wants to run comp cycles quietly in the background. It's for someone who wants to own the experience: for PBPs, for managers, for employees. You'll be the person who keeps the cycle on track when things get complicated, builds the trust that makes cross-functional work feel easy, and leaves every process better than you found it.
Compensation cycles and executionLead end-to-end execution of compensation cycles (merit, equity, bonus), including timeline management, system configuration, communications, and post-cycle analysis.
Serve as the primary point of contact for People Business Partners throughout the cycle, proactively removing blockers and turning confusion into clarity.
Partner closely with Talent Management to ensure the employee experience is coherent from performance to pay.
Partner with Finance to build and track budgets effectively both in the cycle and throughout the year so that leaders have clarity in the what and why of their budgets.
Lead annual compensation market analysis, including survey participation, job matching, and synthesis of findings into actionable insights.
Translate market data into recommendations, positioning decisions, and program design changes that keep Service Titan competitive.
Monitor trends in compensation practices, including how AI is reshaping job families, skills-based pay, and market data sourcing, and proactively surface changes that should influence our programs or philosophy.
Partner with leadership to evolve compensation program design over time, ensuring our programs scale with the business and reflect how we want to pay.
Partner with business leaders and PBPs on compensation questions, role benchmarking, offer guidance, and off‑cycle requests.
Contribute to the design and refinement of comp programs, policies, and frameworks with an eye toward scalability and consistency.
Help translate comp strategy into guidance that non‑experts can actually use.
Build tools and resources that let comp do more with less: templates, calculators, enablement content, cycle dashboards, whatever makes the work faster and the output better.
Use AI tools actively and practically, to draft communications, analyze data, accelerate research, and reduce manual lift across the function.
Proselytize compensation literacy across the organization through enablement, documentation, and scalable resources.
Spot process inefficiencies and fix them, not just flag them.
5+ years of compensation experience, including meaningful time in a business‑facing or cross‑functional role.
Proven ability to manage complex, multi‑stakeholder projects from kickoff to close, on time, with calm under pressure.
Experience leading or co‑leading compensation cycles in a global, matrixed environment.
Strong financial acumen; you're comfortable building models, interpreting budget data, and talking to Finance.
Advanced Google Suite or Excel skills; if someone calls you the spreadsheet person on your team, that tracks.
A product mindset when it comes to comp programs: you think about who the user is, what they actually need, and how to make the experience better, not just compliant.
Curiosity and comfort with AI tools; you're experimenting, finding what works, and building it into how you operate.
Clear communicator, able to translate comp mechanics into plain language for managers, employees, and senior leaders alike.
Experience with Workday is a plus.
The person who succeeds in this role loves the intersection of rigor and relationships. They hold a high bar for accuracy and process, and they also know that compensation only works when people trust it. They think like a product manager about the programs they own: constantly asking who the user is,…
