Insolvency Advisor, Personal Debt Solutions

Job Opportunity

BDO’s Lethbridge office seeks an Insolvency Advisor to join the Personal Debt Solutions team. The role requires an in‑office presence.

• Perform initial consultations to assess debtor situations and recommend appropriate options (training provided).
• Assist debtors and creditors in person and by telephone regarding bankruptcies and proposals.
• Review interview forms and prepare files/documents for client signing.
• Conduct community outreach, business development, presentations, and use social media to promote personal debt solutions offerings.

• 2+ years Customer Service experience in financial services, insolvency, banking, credit counseling, or a related area.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to collaborate with team members, debtors, and creditors.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Self‑responsibility for quality and timeliness of work.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Team player with ability to work independently.
• Previous insolvency experience (asset but not required).
• Availability to work one evening shift per week until 7:30pm.
