At the University of Lethbridge, we speak in perspectives.

We are located in the heart of traditional Blackfoot Confederacy territory in southern Alberta with campuses in Lethbridge and Calgary. ULethbridge is more than a place to learn — it’s a place to build a career and make a lasting impact. We are one of Canada’s top universities and leading research institutions with more than 8,000 undergraduate and graduate students. We are an inclusive university that values diverse experiences and backgrounds.

Our people are our greatest strength, and we are dedicated to fostering growth and success for all of our people.

The University of Lethbridge Building Maintenance Department is seeking a skilled Events Set Up Worker (Facilities Operations

Events at our university often have tight schedules, demanding excellent organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. You’ll manage deliveries of event equipment like tables and chairs on a daily basis, ensuring efficient storage room inventories to promptly respond to event requests.

As you’ll interact with campus stakeholders regularly, strong communication skills are crucial. While event work orders typically cover all necessary items, adjustments may be needed on the event day, requiring collaboration with stakeholders to ensure setups are correct. You’ll also coordinate with Building Maintenance Operators for larger event setups and takedowns, and occasionally work evenings and weekends to accommodate various event needs.

During downtime from events, you’ll assist Building Maintenance Operators with tasks such as changing lights, office moves, and other general maintenance duties. This role offers a dynamic environment where you’ll contribute to the smooth operation of university events while supporting broader maintenance efforts.
